TRS Enhanced Rescue

The TRS Enhanced Rescue course is a bespoke 5 day (recommended) combined medical and rescue course, designed to prepare a technician for their secondary role as emergency first responder.

The course has online pre-learning modules to facilitate a more focussed approach on practical learning.  A classroom environment will be used to build knowledge and perform instructor demonstrations and participant practice periods.  These newly learned skills will then be assessed in realistic, immersive, scenario-based training, some of which will take place within the wind turbine environment.  Medical scenarios will be based on likelihood and algorithm reinforcement and rescue scenarios will be based on the rescue plan to improve knowledge, experience, and safe execution.  We recommend the final 2 days of the course are spent within the wind turbine environment combining medical scenarios with the more complex rescues detailed in the plan.

Operationally identical medical and rescue equipment will be used to maintain a sufficiently skilled and competent workforce.  Realistic scenario-based training will provide invaluable experience in the complexities of fully integrating casualty medical and rescue interventions before handing over to emergency services.

The inclusion of decision making, and scenario management modules will help develop a technician’s situational awareness, ability to plan, and take the correct actions to achieve the best possible outcome in the event of an emergency.

This course is delivered onsite.
